A Simple 2D Platformer
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
AS2DP aims to be a short but fun experience for anyone looking for 30+ minutes of challenging platforming gameplay.
Controls:
KBM
Movement - A/D or Left/Right Arrow Keys
Jump - Space/Up Arrow
Interact - J or Right Mouse Button
Gamepad
Movement - Left Joystick
Jump - A/Cross
Interact - X/Square

Install instructions
Windows
- Unzip the game folder by right-clicking and hitting 'Extract All'
- Open the unzipped folder and run 'A Platforming Game.exe'
MacOS (must enable execute permissions)
- Unzip the game folder.
- Right-click and hit 'New Terminal At Folder' then run the following command:
- "chmod -R 700 [path-to-folder]" (MAKE SURE YOU'RE IN THE RIGHT PATH)
- Open the folder; the game should run correctly..
- IF NOT: You might have to allow the executable file to run by explicitly allowing it in your Privacy Settings

it says "The application “as2dp-mac-v1.3” can’t be opened."
Have you looked at the install instructions? You have to give the app execute permissions in the terminal :)
If it is at all confusing I can help explain.
